This year we will be focusing on how to get unstuck. You may ask, “what does this mean?” In the process of raising up disciples, leaders, and churches, we all get stuck at some point. Even as a disciple we tend to get stuck. Whether we grow apathetic, lose vision, or just need some encouragement to move to the next step or stay the course.

During the conference, you will attend a breakout session based on your chosen area of struggle. Each breakout will have a Q&A time built in.

If you are struggling to understand what movements are, come to this session to learn what we mean when we say “kingdom movements” and how you can be a part.

CURTIS SARGEANT

Dr. Curtis Sergeant served with the International Mission Board (IMB) among an unreached people group (UPG) in China. After a movement started there, he began training for the house-church networks in China and others around the world in how to do the same. Later he served as a VP for Global Strategy with the IMB. Then he went to Saddleback Church over Church Planting and helped catalyze a large-scale church planting project in India that engaged nearly a hundred UUPGs. He then served at e3 Partners as the International VP. Now he runs a disciple-making and missions training center called MetaCamp in Dadeville, Alabama (metacamp.org). He is also a co-facilitator of the 24:14 coalition (2414now.net), serves on the leadership team for Finishing the Task (finishingthetask.com) and founded the Zúme project (zume.training).

NEIL COLE

Neil Cole is an experienced church planter, author and pastor. He is credited as a key catalyst in the global organic church movement and founded of Church Multiplication Associates (CMA), which has helped to start tens of thousands of churches in 50 states and 50+ nations in only 20 years. He has recently started Starling Initiatives, a global connection of like-minded people who listen to Jesus and do what He says. Neil and Dana have been married 39 years. They live in Long Beach, California and have three grown children Heather, Erin and Zach, and five Grandkids.

DORI YUEN

Dr. Dori Yuen is the Executive Director of Channel Network. She is currently serving as a City Missionary in North America, reaching out to the Muslims in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also ministers to the marginalized and the vulnerable population. She was the Church Planter of Channel Church in Berkeley, California. Dori is currently soliciting other partners with similar passion for God to plant more churches and train disciple makers in their own communities, both locally and internationally. She is also a strong advocate for overseas missions and have been leading teams to India, Nepal, Lebanon, Mexico, Uganda, Sierra Leone, various places in South America, and many other places worldwide.

BOBBY "TRE9" HERRING

Bobby “Tre9” Herring gave his life to Christ in 1996 as an inner city teen seeking to be a secular rap artist. At 18 years old, his message switched to glorifying Christ instead of the negativity in his neighborhood. Fast forward to 2008, he founded Eyes On Me Inc, a non-profit organization that exists to transform under-served communities through intense discipleship, mentorship and beneficent services. His Spirit-led ministry to see disciples, leaders and churches has multiplied within Houston city streets, across state lines and internationally. Establishing community centers or HUBS in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods across Houston, Tre has proven that community transformation in conjunction with DMM/CPM practices is sustainable and effective for advancing the Kingdom.

Do you have an emotional wound that won’t heal? Relational conflict is one of the main reasons people leave a community, but it doesn’t have to be this way. We will learn healthy, biblical ways to heal from hurt and trauma and discuss ways to handle these messy situations in the future.

HEIDI CUMMINGS

Heidi Cummings was born and raised in Southern California, and went to church with her family every Sunday without any interest in actually following Jesus. Just after college, the Lord used her own dissatisfaction with her life to call her to Himself. Shortly after that she moved from California to Georgia to be discipled and learn how to make disciples.

After that, the Lord took her to several different states and countries, and now she is back in Georgia, doing ministry closely with the No Place Left Army network.

KELLI CASKEY

Kelli Caskey and her husband Guy have been making disciples, and planting churches, both locally and globally from their home for over 25 years. They founded the M4 Network in 2011 which is a church of churches. Kelli has extensive experience coaching others in emotional health and has a business background where she served as an executive in human resources, leadership development, mergers, and acquisitions.

As westerners, we are used to a centralized church DNA, whereas movement DNA is largely decentralized. Let’s explore the stuckages we face trying to implement movement DNA from a centralized environment, why this historically hasn’t worked and how we get the movement we hope to see.

NEAL KARSTEN

Neal Karsten and his wife Sara have been pressing toward disciple and simple church movement for the past 10 years. By the grace of God, work is taking place throughout Michigan and many other states. Along with the labor in his backyard, Neal also coaches teams throughout North America to see disciples and simple gatherings multiplied in their cities. He has also helped to launch and steward an initiative called Pastor to Pioneer and is working with many other organizations and collaborative teams to see North America reached with the Gospel.

DUNCAN

My name is Duncan Slaughter. I have been married to my wife Rachelle for four and a half years. We were both introduced to movement principles around four years ago. Before we knew anything about simple reproducible tools, we were inviting people over to our small apartment and trying to make disciples the best way we knew how. We have now started our own church of house churches called Shepherd’s Way. We are part of M4 Network with the Caskey’s and have three house Churches currently in operation. We want to see Houston become a city of God, by disciples that make disciples, and churches that plant other churches. We have multiplied six times since we have started and have learned a lot from our failures. We are still students looking to follow Jesus more closely every day, until His glory covers the earth.

BECKY BOWDEN

Becky Bowden is a missionary in Fort Myers, FL, where she specializes in training others in disciple-making and sport ministry strategies. Becky has spent the last several years ministering to youth and adults in a wide variety of contexts, including inner city missions, discipleship, community events, sport, fitness, and outdoor adventure ministry, short-term overseas missions, leadership development, and creating resources for disciple-making and church planting. She is intentional in empowering the body of Christ to live as priests using their passions and giftings within their spheres of influence, as well as instilling a multigenerational vision of discipleship. She is currently partnered with Love One Another Church at Fort Myers and All4One Ministries, serving locally, nationally, and globally at various capacities.

GUY CASKEY

Guy Caskey and his wife Kelli have been making disciples and planting churches, both locally and globally from their home for the past 25 years. They founded the M4 Network in 2011 which is a church of churches with a big enough vision to think small.

He is a pioneer pastor who has led strategy for large missions’ organizations, served as mission & movements pastor at a large mega church in Houston, TX and helps lead the City2City strategy for Houston. Guy is the author of two books, Eat Your Way to God, and Making Him L.O.R.D.

LEE WOOD

Lee Wood is the Founder and initial catalyst of 1Body Church, as well as a missionary and Apostolic leader with a world vision to launch disciple-multiplying movements until the whole world knows Jesus. He leads and mentors key leaders in launching small house churches to spread the Gospel, starting in the smallest expression in his home in Tampa and eventually across the whole world. This aligns with his philosophy of "dream big, work small". Lee is married to Stacy, is the father of five and grandfather of five.
